Course Overview

The Fashion Course is for students generally ages 11 to 18 years. It aims to take students through the principles and practise of garment and interior design. It is a fun and popular course for those wishing to explore the subject. It also provides practical support for those who want to develop their portfolios. This term our theme is sustainable fashion. Students will be encouraged to design and make one project on the theme as a garment or soft furnishing item. Students may bring their own sewing kit, or sewing machine, although all equipment is provided. Students need to supply the fabric for their projects, at an estimated cost of £5-£10 depending on fabric size and choice. A break time snack and water bottle are also useful.

Eligibility:

Those who are not currently in education, training or employment and are in receipt of state benefits or support (excluding state retirement pension). those aged 50 plus who are not in full-time employment.

- To allow us to provide equal opportunities for all eligible learners, please refrain from enrolling on more that three Learning For Work courses at this time. -
